Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

What changed on 14 October 2026. We added the Pinterest tag to this website. Sections 2, 4 and 8 explain what it collects, who receives it, and how to opt out. Later the same day we switched to Pinterest’s standard script version of the tag, which also keeps identifiers in cookies and local storage on glimrest.com. Sections 2, 3, 8 and 10 now reflect this. The tag is not loaded at all if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.

This policy explains how GLIMREST LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“glimrest”, “we”, “us”), handles personal information in connection with the website glimrest.com.

1. What this policy covers

It covers this website and the email address hello@glimrest.com.

It does not cover:

  • Amazon. Our products are sold through Amazon. When you buy there, Amazon collects and controls your order and payment information under its own privacy notice. We never see your payment details.
  • Social platforms. When you interact with our accounts on other platforms, that platform’s own privacy policy applies to the data it collects.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

If you write to us, or use the support form on our customer care page, we receive what you send: your email address, the Amazon order number if you give one, the description of the problem, and any photo you attach. We use it to help you and to keep a record of the issue.

Information collected automatically

This website has no accounts, no shopping cart and no payment. We use privacy-focused page analytics to see which pages are read and which are not. It counts visits; it does not follow you across other websites.

We also use advertising measurement from Meta so that we can tell whether an advert we paid for actually brought anyone here. You can turn this off in your own Meta account settings, and through the browser and device controls your platform provides.

We also use the Pinterest tag, a script from Pinterest that runs in your browser on the pages of this site. It is not used on our customer care page. It tells Pinterest which pages of this site you visit and when you click a button that takes you to Amazon. Pinterest receives this information, including your IP address and browser and device details. Third parties, including Pinterest, may use cookies, web beacons and other storage technologies to collect or receive information from this website and elsewhere on the internet, and use that information to provide measurement services and to target and deliver ads. Besides Pinterest’s own cookies on pinterest.com, the tag keeps identifiers and settings on glimrest.com itself, so that Pinterest can link your visit to an ad click and recognise you from page to page: the cookies _epik, _epiko, _derived_epik, _pin_unauth and _routing_id, the local storage entries _epik_ls, _derived_epik_ls and _pin_unauth_ls, and the session storage entries is_eu, ssp_nsc, ssp_iabi and ssp_iaba. The cookies and local storage entries last up to one year and the session storage entries end when you close the tab; you can delete any of them at any time by clearing this site’s cookies and site data in your browser. We do not give the tag your email address or any other contact details. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load the Pinterest tag at all. For our own advertising, Pinterest uses this information to measure our Pins and ads and to show our ads on Pinterest to people who visited this site. This is online behavioural advertising: your information is shared with a third party for advertising. You can opt out in your Pinterest privacy and data settings (personalization) and through the AdChoices website at optout.aboutads.info.

Cookies

Our page analytics sets no cookies. Advertising measurement from Meta and the Pinterest tag may set or read cookies and similar technologies, such as web beacons and local storage, in your browser. If you would rather they did not, use your browser’s cookie and site data controls or a tracking blocker; the site works exactly the same either way, because nothing here depends on cookies.

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, necessarily processes standard technical request data — IP address, browser user-agent, requested page and timestamp — in order to deliver the page and protect the site against abuse. That processing is described in Cloudflare’s own privacy documentation.

3. Why we use it

  • To answer your question and provide product support.
  • To keep records of customer correspondence, including product safety and quality issues.
  • To operate and secure the website.
  • To measure our advertising and to show our ads to people who visited this site (Meta and Pinterest; see section 2).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information for money. Information collected by the Pinterest tag is shared with Pinterest, which may use it to show you our ads on Pinterest; under some US state laws this counts as sharing personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Section 2 explains how to opt out.

We use a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf:

Cloudflare
Website hosting, DNS, inbound email routing, and page analytics
Google
The mailbox that receives messages sent to hello@glimrest.com
Resend
Delivery of outbound email we send from hello@glimrest.com, and delivery of messages submitted through our support form
Meta
Advertising measurement, where you have not opted out. See section 2
Pinterest
Pinterest tag: advertising measurement and showing our ads to people who visited this site, where you have not opted out. See section 2

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to establish or defend legal claims.

5. The customer care form

The form on our customer care page lets you ask a product question or request help with an order. We send a confirmation email with a copy of your request to the email address you provide.

  • What we ask for. An email address so we can reply and a description of your question or problem. Your first name, Amazon order number, preferred resolution and photos are optional.
  • What we do not ask for. Never your payment details, your Amazon password, or any government identification number. If a page ever asks you for those in our name, it is not us.
  • Where it goes. Straight to our support mailbox. It is not posted publicly, not shared with other customers, and not used for advertising.
  • Photos. Kept with the message for as long as the issue is open and our records require. Please do not include people in the photo if you would rather they were not in our records.

About reviews. We will help you whether or not you have left a review, and whether the review was good or bad. We will never ask you to remove, change or hold back a review, and we will never offer you anything in exchange for one. That is an Amazon rule and it is also just how we want to work.

6. How long we keep it

We keep customer correspondence for as long as needed to support you and to meet record-keeping and product safety obligations, and then delete it. If you ask us to delete your correspondence sooner, we will, unless we are required to keep it.

7. Where information is processed

We operate internationally. Your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where we or our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your own.

8. Your rights

California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, you have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to request its deletion, to request correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. Information from the Pinterest tag is shared with Pinterest for advertising, as described in section 2; you can opt out of that through your Pinterest privacy and data settings or at optout.aboutads.info, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as that opt-out. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Everyone else

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to our use of your personal information, and to withdraw consent.

How to exercise them

Email hello@glimrest.com. We will respond within the time required by the applicable law. We may need to ask you for information that lets us match your request to our records — usually the email address you wrote to us from.

9. Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

10. Security

The site is static and stores nothing about you on its servers; the identifiers the Pinterest tag keeps in your browser are described in section 2. Email correspondence is held in access-controlled mailboxes protected by two-factor authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send us sensitive personal information by email.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Material changes will be described at the top of the page.
